THE GOOD THE BAD THE GROUCHY

The good:
Having the three youngest grandkids hanging around.
It's hilarious to see how much fun they have together.
The good: Having Lexi hang out with me for a week.
She's a great snuggler.
She's never a dull moment.
The good: Candice passed her boards.
AND She got a job!!!!

The bad: It's been an incredibly hard couple of weeks.
The bad: It's cold and blustery.
The bad: I loathe the new blogger interface!

The grouchy: I'm irritated about the fundraiser the president of this country attended.
The rudeness was appalling.
 The jokes told were inappropriate.
I'm not sure when I'll get over it.
 Maybe I won't.

DID IT SLOW HIM DOWN???

Not so much.
Kendrix climbing on mommy's dresser.
Cast and all.
"Sorry Sara...you're in for a long haul.
He's just like his daddy.
I feel your pain."

JUST SOMETIMES.....

Just sometimes...
When you work in the ER you take care of a 2 year old with a broken leg.
(Spiral fracture on the tibia)
And that 2 year old happens to be your grandson!
Just sometimes...
You go to the orthopedic doc a few days later to help mom with the 2 year old.
And he gets a rigid cast.
Just sometimes...
You realize NOTHING is going to slow down a 2 year old.

BUBBLES!!!

Thank goodness for grandkids!
Krew and Kendrix came over yesterday afternoon.
I had an excuse to use the Bubble Maker that was demonstrated at the Pinterest Party.
See previous post
Cut the bottom off of a water bottle.
Cut a washcloth so that a piece of the terry cloth fits the bottom of the bottle. Secure it with a rubber band.

Bubble Solution
1/3 C Dawn dish soap
3 tablespoons karo syrup
2 quarts of water
Stir solution gently.
This makes a lot!
Dip the terry cloth end into the bubble solution and blow into the other end.
Lots of big long bubbles that don't pop easily!
So hilarious to listen to Kendrix scream "BUBBLES"
It provided hours of fun.
I'm anxious to be able to make more for the rest of the GRANDS when they come over.

It was also nice to be outside yesterday. The sun was shining and I spent some time raking the lawn.

Then this morning:

RANDOM BRAIN

The weather has been wonderful.
Some wind, but sunshine and 50's and 60's.

Was with an elderly lady in our neighborhood as she died on Monday.
She was 92 and it was peaceful.
Howie will be speaking at the funeral.

I went to a Pinterest Party last night.
It was stinkin' fun.
Everyone brought some items that they had made from things they had found on Pinterest.
I brought my tree skirt.
Thank you Teressa! It was a blast!
I can hardly wait for my grandkids to come so we can play with this UNBELIEVABLE bubble maker!
Best thing I have ever seen!
I need a grandchild to be here while I play with it.
If I were to play with it, the neighbors would think I was off my rocker.
Maybe I am.

I haven't put up Easter decorations.
I didn't do St. Patrick's Day either.
Or Valentines.
I was going to paint the house after I took Christmas decorations down.

If it were a choice between painting and a root canal...
I'd have the root canal.
